Question
A clinician began an interview and a colleague tries to go in and continue with the assessment, but receives an error message on GAIN ABS “assessment is locked”. What should the clinician do?
Answer
Assessments get locked when they are not exited correctly, i.e. the browser or tab was not closed properly, therefore the system does not know the record lock should be removed. There are two options:
- You can wait for 24 hours and the lock will be automatically removed
- The original clinician (who began the interview) can re-open the assessment (continue with the interview) and exit using Finish. Doing so will remove the lock on the assessment record.
To prevent this from occurring in the future: Exit the assessment correctly by closing your tab or browser completely. Please note that DATIS unable to resolve this issue for you.
