Definition:

A basic indication of whether the client has permanent hearing loss that interferes with his/her daily functioning and may need to be taken into consideration during treatment.

Guide for Use:

Individuals with hearing impairment are those who are unable to function without the use of hearing aids or those who are still not able to function with hearing aids.

This data is collected at the initiation of treatment services.
