Implementing OHIP Card Readers in Ontario's MHA Sector: Increasing the Ability to Integrate Health Data.
As part of its role as a coordinating lead for the implementation of the Provincial Data Standard (PDS), Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario will be overseeing the integration and distribution of Ontario health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card readers for the Community Mental Health and Addiction (MHA) sector. The initiative aims to enhance the accuracy of data collection and may improve service delivery and client outcomes through improved health data integration locally and across the province.
Community (MHA) organizations that (1) are using a PDS compliant system and (2) have expressed interest in onboarding to the PDS, are eligible to request card readers for their organization. If your organization is interested in requesting card readers, please complete the Request Form or send an email to pds_support@ontario.cmha.ca for more information.
Organizations that would like to access supports to onboard to the PDS or to a PDS compliant system can send an email to pds_support@ontario.cmha.ca or pds@amho.ca.
