On behalf of the DATIS team at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, I am writing to inform you that the DATIS Interface will be decommissioned on October 31, 2024. This means that the transmission of community addictions data from your Client Management System to the Catalyst database will no longer be required, and the web service facilitating the transfers will be shut down. The reason for the short timeline is that we have been notified by CAMH that the technology is now outdated and subsequently poses a security risk to the organization. This is a CAMH decision that has been approved by Ontario Health – MHA Centre of Excellence.
By Friday, October 4th, the DATIS service desk team will be opening a ticket for your organization, and for each vendor that supports the interface. In order to ensure that we have documented your receipt of this notice, please ensure that your designated service desk staff have been notified of this communication and are prepared to respond to the ticket. With this reporting requirement removed, we are hopeful that this will have a positive impact on your organization.
Should you require continued access to the staged screening and assessment tools (SSA) after the interface is decommissioned, they will continue to be available to your organization via the Catalyst application.
Sincerely,
Deborah Cain-Moroz
Senior Manager
