How do I open and view a secure file transfer from DATIS?
Answer
At times, DATIS will use Secure File Transfer to send confidential information by way of email. The secure information will be added as a text document in the body of the email notification. Once you receive the incoming email, you would open the email and click to download the document. An example of such an email is below.
If this is the first time that you have received a secure file, you will be asked to verify the email address and asked to click on the link in the body of the email to verify the address.
Once the email is compared and verified, you may be asked to create a password and verify the password. This password is only for use with Secure File Transfer. It will required at least one alpha character upper case, one alpha lower case, one number and one special character such as !, *, etc. to a minimum of 8 characters.
When the email opens, check the box beside the .txt file and the click Open - do not click on "Download via Applet".
The message appears on screen.
