Definition:
A set of values that indicate the client's relationship and or marital status at the initiation of treatment.
Guide for Use:
These data are collected reflective of the client’s status at the initiation of treatment and is not required to be updated when the situation changes during the course of treatment. Select the value that most appropriately describes the current relationship status of the client at the initiation of substance abuse and or problem gambling treatment service by the agency. Married/partnered/common-law - includes same sex couples. A common law relationship in Ontario requires that you and your partner have lived together continuously for three years. Single – is selected to indicate someone who has never legally married and is not currently living in a common-law relationship
