Subject: Dec. 21, 2022 Ontario Naloxone Program Update – NEW Ontario Naloxone Program Report on SAP Portal Update

Hello everyone,

This update is for Core ONP Sites/Naloxone Distribution Leads who are entering naloxone data using the Naloxone Module in the Ontario Harm Reduction Database (ONHRDB), more familiarly known as NEO360.

If you do not currently use NEO360 to compile your Quarterly Reporting Form, you can disregard this update.

Starting Thursday, December 22, 2022, you will be able to run the ‘NEW Ontario Naloxone Program Report’ on the SAP portal for your Q3 ONP Quarterly Report.

The ministry has been working with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) to make the necessary updates to the SAP portal to reflect the reduced ministry-mandated data set (shared September 29, 2022).

A word document of this update is attached for your convenience.

FOR CORE ONP SITES/NALOXONE DISTRIBUTION LEADS USING NEO360:

1. NEW ONTARIO NALOXONE PROGRAM REPORT ON THE SAP PORTAL

Starting Thursday, December 22, 2022, you will be able to run the ‘NEW Ontario Naloxone Program Report’ on the SAP portal for your Q3 ONP Quarterly Report due to the ministry by February 1, 2023.

Please make sure you are using the updated ‘NEW Ontario Naloxone Program Report’ on the portal.

If you do not already have access to the SAP portal, please submit a Service Desk Ticket to ONHRDB (NEO) Service Desk

If you have any questions about running the new Naloxone SAP report, please submit a Service Desk Ticket to ONHRDB (NEO) Service Desk

2. REVISED ONP QUARTERLY REPORTING FORM – DRUG TRENDS & COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Starting October 1, 2022, the revised ONP Quarterly Report Form came into effect and all data collection should align to meet these revised data requirements.

The ministry continues to request that all ONP sites report on “Information about drug trends in your community and/or a need for naloxone in your community that is not being filled,” where judged useful.

This section will need to be completed after exporting the Naloxone SAP report and before submitting the report to the ministry at ONP@ontario.ca.

3. ACCESSING HISTORICAL DATA

You will continue to have access to your historical data by running the older Naloxone SAP report that will remain available on the SAP portal—titled ‘OLD Ontario Naloxone Program Report’.

If you have any questions about accessing your historical naloxone data in the SAP portal, please submit a Service Desk Ticket to ONHRDB (NEO) Service Desk

If you have any questions regarding this update, please contact us at ONP@ontario.ca or at 437-855-0352.

CORE ONP site only

Your Public Health Unit has a Core ONP Site in your local catchment area:

  • “NAME OF CORE ONP SITE”

NEO360 automatically includes this Core ONP Site’s data in your PHU data set when you run your Naloxone SAP report.

As, Core ONP Sites submit their quarterly ONP data directly to the ministry, and not to their local PHU, see below for instructions that apply to your PHU when running your PHU’s Naloxone SAP report so that the Core ONP Site’s data are not included with your report.

Instructions:

  1. Before running your Naloxone SAP report, you must unselect “NAME OF CORE ONP SITE” from the list of community-based organizations.
  2. This will ensure the Core ONP Site’s data are not rolled up into your Naloxone SAP report.
  3. Failure to unselect “NAME OF CORE ONP SITE” will result in “NAME OF CORE ONP SITE” data being double-counted and your PHU-level data will be incorrect.

If you have any questions about running the SAP report without including “NAME OF CORE ONP SITE” data, please submit a Service Desk Ticket to ONHRDB (NEO) Service Desk
