If you only know part of a client's code, or a client isn't sure of their code, you can try search for it using a "wildcard". In NEO, entering "%" into the client reference code search indicates a wildcard.
First, you must still choose a Gender, nothing will appear in the search unless Gender is selected. Then type in "%" to see a list of codes appear in alphabetical order.
Lets say you know the Year of Birth, but not the 4-letter initials. Type in "%" followed by the Year of Birth to see the codes registered with this year.
Only 5 codes will appear as options to select with any given search, so it helps if you know even one letter from the 4 initials. Type in the the first letter followed by "%" and then the Year of Birth to narrow down the options.
