DATIS is adding Fentanyl to the Presenting Problem Substance List
What prompted this change?
The addition of Fentanyl as a stand-alone substance in the Presenting Problem Substance list is a result of feedback we have received from agencies.
What is the change and what does it look like?
In the Substance Use section of the Admission Information screen, the list of Presenting Problem Substances will now contain a value of Fentanyl. The existing Prescription Opioid value is now displayed as Prescription Opioid (excl. Fentanyl).
How does this change affect data entry?
Catalyst users will now be able to identify Fentanyl as a client's presenting problem substance. Historical records may be updated if the agency wishes to do so.
