Youth Directory of Community-Focused Facilitators and Programs

This resource directory highlights recommended providers that YWHO sites can hire, for both youth programming and organizational development, who embody anti-oppression, anti-racism, and decolonization in their offerings.

Research shows the importance of creating programming that fosters a sense of belonging and engagement for youth. For this reason, YWHO is actioning its anti-oppression value statement through this resource directory, to highlight providers who represent and bring diverse perspectives. Our aim is to increase engagement and safety for youth who continue to be under-represented.

If your YWHO site needs help identifying programming priorities, reach out to our equity and engagement team or your local implementation specialist.

How to use this resource:

  1. Identify current programming priorities and needs
  2. Review the list of recommended providers
  3. Contact provider(s) from the list to determine availability and rate
  4. Hire provider(s)

Youth Program Directory

The Equity and Engagement team for Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) has compiled a directory that includes facilitators, service providers, and programs that highlight diverse intersectional lived experiences to ensure all sites have relevant offerings for all youth and priority populations in their service areas.

This resource also aligns with YWHO’s efforts to put our anti-racism and anti-oppression value statement into action. This directory is directly linked to YWHO’s anti-racist action to support sites in providing culturally specific services that are relevant and beneficial to all youth, specifically youth who have been marginalized. The directory is part of our team’s efforts to support sites in offering programs and services that are responsive and affirming to the needs of youth across Ontario.

As a directory of recommended services and facilitators, sites can contact anyone listed in order to provide relevant programming at their specific YWHO site. Facilitators and programs listed in this directory have all requested to be included, although there is no guarantee of availability. Each facilitator, program, and/or consultant’s capacity changes over time.

Please note that our intention was to include folks that are relevant, bring diverse perspectives, and embody anti-oppression, anti-racism, and de-colonization in their offerings. We recommend that you reach out to folks on this list that meet your site needs and connect to determine if they are the right fit for your site.
