YWHO Virtual Hub

YWHO Virtual Hub is currently available to participating hubs piloting the initial phases of this project. If you have any questions, please reach out to info@ywho.ca

Introduction

The YWHO Virtual Hub is an innovative platform co-designed by the YWHO Provincial Office, YWHO Virtual Pilot Sites, youth and family members to offer a comprehensive range of virtual services specifically tailored for youth. It is a secure and user-friendly web-based application that youth can easily use and conveniently book virtual care appointments.

The platform includes a dual-interface system, offering both service providers and youth their respective interfaces. This ensures a smooth experience for youth as they can effortlessly register for the services they require and also choose to create their own accounts.

One of the key advantages of this virtual platform is its integration of measurement-based care. The platform enables accurate and personalized care by implementing screening tools and questionnaires linked with the innovative My Wellness Passport platform. This data-driven approach helps service providers to better understand the unique needs of each youth and tailor their interventions accordingly, leading to more effective and efficient outcomes.

When to use the staging (testing) vs. production (live) environments?

Staging (testing) Environment
The staging (testing) environment offers an opportunity to set up test accounts, enabling service providers to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the platform functions.

In the service-facing staging environment, service providers can practice reviewing appointment requests and navigate through the entire workflow, starting from the initial request all the way to initiating a video conferencing session.

For the youth-facing staging environment, service providers can create youth test accounts to replicate the perspective of the youth. This environment allows service providers to explore the website from a youth perspective, understand the appointment request process, and familiarize themselves with the follow-up communications they will receive after requesting an appointment.

The staging (testing) environment is a great way to learn and practice workflow and understand the youth’s perspective of navigating the YWHO Virtual Hub.

Production (live) Environment

The Production (live) Environment should not be used for testing purposes

The production (live) environment is where real appointments are requested and services are provided over video conferencing. This is the environment where real data is processed, and therefore, should not be used for testing purposes.

For the Youth-facing production environment, there is no additional access required. Service providers can simply select the provided links to navigate the website.

Note:

When setting up test youth accounts, it is important to use the staging link to avoid interference with real data.

Links to Staging and Production Environments

Below are links to the staging (testing) and production environment of the YWHO Virtual Hub. In order to use the Service-facing staging and production environments, a manager/supervisor will need to submit the request to mwp@ywho.ca, similar to requesting access to My Wellness Passport.
