Release Date: September 29, 2022


The following two updates are being released on Thursday, September 29, 2022, to the Catalyst application:

1) Virtual Care Status Field

The field called ‘Virtual Care Status’ (shown in the screenshot below) on the Program Information screen will no longer be a mandatory/ required field. This field will remain in Catalyst and agencies may still use the data field if they wish. You can read more about the Virtual Care Status field in the 'Related Content' section at the bottom of this page. 

2) New feature: Ability to track virtual appointments

Changes to the Catalyst application have been made to facilitate data collection in accordance with OHRS’ reporting updates for the fiscal year 2022/23 Trial Balance submissions. Reporting of the following new accounts is mandatory as of Q2 2022/23:

  • 450 ** *1 Visit – Face-to-Face - In House – Virtual
  • 483 ** *3 Attendance Days - In-House – Virtual
  • 492 00 11 Group Sessions - Virtual - Time Intervals Not Reported

Users will see changes made to accommodate the necessary data collection for these new statistical accounts on Catalyst's Program Information and Activity Log screens (changes to the Program Information Screen and Activity Log are outlined in detail below).  The changes will go live at noon Thursday, September 29th, 2022. Please note that Catalyst will be offline and inaccessible for all agencies/ users from 12:00-12:30 pm to release these updates.

***Please note these updates are not applicable to data from agencies using the DATIS Interface.  Data submitted through the interface will not change.***

OHRS Reports accessed through Catalyst will be released prior to the end of the third quarter (December 31, 2022).

Changes to the Program Information Screen

The Program Service Summary section of the Program Information screen will now display the Total Hours and Total Sessions for Direct Service Time – Virtual.

For any agencies already using the auto calc feature in Catalyst, the Program Service Summary screen will be auto-populated.

For any agencies not using auto calc feature, the values must be entered manually on the Program Service Summary screen. Any data added into Program Service Summary manually will be pulled into the OHRS report. Please note that if your agency would like turn on the auto calc feature for a program, you can request this through the DATIS Service Desk issue by creating a ticket.

Activities entered into the activity log will automatically populate in the program service summary section.

Changes to the Activity Log

A new Activity Type of ‘Client – Direct face-to-face – Virtual’ has been added. Please note that new activities will need to be created for this new Activity Type.
