Can you advise if there is any way to open a closed admission in Catalyst? Unfortunately, the client's file was closed and there are some group attendances that need to be entered into cased notes of the closed admission.
Answer
An activity can be added to a terminated program providing the activity is within the start and end dates of the terminated program and providing the admission is open. If the admission is not in open status, they can go to the discharge screen (take note of the discharge information for example print or note) and then delete the discharge. This will render the status of the admission as open. They can then add the activity for the terminated program and once that task is completed, they can then re-enter the discharge admission information and close the file. There is a caution to this though. They have to be mindful that there are no current open admissions as this would cause an overlapping admission issue and bigger problems. So they should be cognizant of their program/admission information before they make any moves to remove the discharge.
