CTS module users are able to track occurrences of drug splitting/sharing on the "Supervised" screen. This feature will be displayed for each drug.

Please contact the ONHRDB Service Desk if you would like this feature disabled for your site

Entry Instructions

1. If CTS client A splits or shares a drug with client B, you can track this by checking the Splitting/Sharing checkbox before clicking the Add Drug button. (You will check the Splitting/Sharing checkbox for client B too)

2. Once the drug is added, the screen will be updated with "Yes" to indicate the drug has been split or shared.

3. This process can be repeated for any additional drugs added.

Reporting

Currently, drug splitting/sharing is not part of the ministry's mandatory reporting requirement.

You are able to access drug splitting/sharing data via the CAMH SAP reporting portal to fulfill Health Canada reporting requirements:

  • the number of unique clients that participated in drug splitting/sharing;
  • the number of overdoses/drug emergencies that occurred following drug splitting/sharing.
  • Number of visits involving drug splitting/sharing

Please contact the ONHRDB Service Desk if you have any question about the report and data
