I am trying to add appointments into the system and I keep getting the message: "The appointment start date must be >= the program start date and <= the program end date." The date I have is for August 7, 2019. The client didn't actually start the program until September 30, 2019. Would you be able to let me know what I am doing wrong?

The appointment you are trying to add is a Client Direct non-face to face for August 7, 2019 but yet in the information you provided, the program did not start until September 30, 2019? The message you are getting is in fact correct as the appointment you are trying to add is before the program start date and you cannot link a Client Direct (activity type) appointment to a program that has not yet started. The appointment would need to be after Sept 30, 2019 to be linked to the program.
If this was a service that was provided to the client before the program started, then it would be an entry level service as the program would not yet be created. The activity type would have to be Pre-Entry. If you are trying to add an Entry level appointment to a client who has an "Open" status, you would not be able to do so. Pre-Entry activities should be added to the activity log before the program was opened.
