Per the Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) reporting standards for community mental health and addictions, agencies are required to track and report on four new statistical accounts pertaining to Francophone clients; that will allow agencies to track and report services requested and provided to Francophone clients. Updates in the Catalyst application (subsequently the Interface) are required to accommodate these new indicators.
These changes were optional for the 2019/20 FY, but are mandatory for the 2020/21 FY Trial Balance Submissions.
The new statistical accounts are as follows:
- S950 **10 Francophone Individuals Requested Service in French by Functional Centre
- S950 **20 Francophone Individuals Served in French by Functional Centre
- S950 10** Francophone Individuals Requested Service in French by the Organization
- S950 20** Francophone Individuals Served in French by the Organization
The language section on the Client Information screen has three questions:
- What is your mother tongue?
- In which of Canada’s Official Languages are you most comfortable receiving your healthcare services?
- In which language are you most comfortable receiving your healthcare services?
The OHRS requirement to identify Francophone individuals requesting service in French, will be determined in Catalyst when the answer to the question “In which of Canada’s Official Languages are you most comfortable receiving your healthcare services?” is French. Answering this question with the answer French, then triggers the "Program services provide to client in French" check box field on the Program Information screen.
The requirement to identify individuals served in French will be determined by checking the “Program services provided to client in French”.
Data for the new statistical accounts is available in the four new reports located in the OHRS reports folder.
